Techniques: Strapless Mini dress with boning sewn inside the lining up to where the waistline ends, the black strip is made out of silk satin and is lined with interfacing for stability, hand-sewn bow is made out of silk satin at the top of the center front, closure is a zipper at the center back.
Graceful: Look 2
Material: Ivory Pearl Beads, Silk Faille- White. Techniques: Pearl top: Handwoven in floweret shapes out of four pearls into continuous strips with elastic string and wire. Skirt: Princess seam mini skirt made out of silk faille, hand-sewn pearl clusters (random placements), closure is a zipper placed at the center back.
Elegance: Look 3
Material: Silk Satin- Black, Silk Faille- White. Techniques: Armhole Mini Dress with a high neckline, facing/ interfacing at the neckline for added structure, one vertical white line made out of silk faille follows through the front and back of the dress on the right side throughout the princess seam, one continuous white horizontal line made out of silk faille follows through the bottom of the dress creating a cross-section at the bottom right of the dress, hand-sewn bow placed at the right shoulder seam, closure is a zipper placed at the center back.
Primo Amore: Thesis Statement
Primo Amore also known as First Love is a collection created to display simplicity and elegance through the power of loving one's body and self-image. It is about learning how to love the internal and external forms of one's self in order to radiate confidence and self-assurance.
The collection contains four complete looks that display a monochromatic colorway of blacks and whites. In order to encapsulate elegance. Pearl details were added to demonstrate the beauty of delicacy of the human body. Each piece outlines a different silhouette of form-fitting and structural garments. Primo Amore is aimed to create an illusion through geographic elements. The illusion is that the contrast of the geographic elements allows there to be no specific definition or shape of the human body.
Throughout this collection, the intention is for individuals to not feel confined by the shape of their bodies but to embrace their natural beauty. I want individuals to feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful while wearing my garments.
